We’re building the submittal intelligence layer for construction.
Construction runs on documents — specs, drawings, contracts, addenda — yet the work around them is still manual. Senior engineers spend hours comparing PDFs, chasing supersession, and validating commitments line by line. When something is contested, nobody can quickly say which clause on which page drove the decision.
We think AI should do that work — not replace the judgment, but support it with an answer you can check.
So we built the product around one rule: no citation, no claim. Every register row, every requirement, every verdict is linked to a specific paragraph, table, or list block on a specific page, and you can open it and see the source. Where the stakes are highest the checks are deterministic and auditable line by line, the AI reports Not Found rather than guessing, and a human keeps the final say on every decision — with the override and its reason recorded.
BuildAhead is founder-led. If you run a project on it, you are dealing directly with the people who built it.
